Start with the shipment you actually send

Insurance for live-selling shipments depends on the goods, value, carrier, origin, destination, packaging, and program terms. A policy review should establish who is insured, how value is determined, when coverage begins and ends, and what evidence a claim requires.

Product eligibility

Identify raw cards, slabs, sealed collectibles, and any excluded or specially restricted goods.

Value and limits

Review the applicable valuation basis, per-shipment limits, deductibles, and signature conditions.

Claims documentation

Clarify the records required for eligible loss, damage, or theft claims before the first shipment.

Selling on Whatnot?

Whatnot already offers shipping protection through Shippo and XCover. Its guidance also discusses third-party insurance for certain situations. InsureShip must confirm whether your Whatnot-generated labels, products, and shipment details qualify for an available program. This page does not claim a Whatnot checkout integration or automatic coverage.

Purchase price and collectible value can differ

A valuable card from a break may have a market value different from the amount paid for the break spot. Ask which valuation basis a proposed policy uses and what documentation substantiates that value. Do not assume a policy pays market value.

Marketplace reimbursement policies and shipping insurance are separate arrangements. Review how existing protection and any proposed insurance apply to the same shipment.

Questions sellers ask

Does InsureShip automatically cover Whatnot shipments?

No automatic eligibility is represented here. InsureShip must review the products, labels, shipping arrangements, and applicable program terms.

Can I add InsureShip to Whatnot checkout?

This page does not offer or claim an InsureShip integration into Whatnot checkout. Ask about available merchant insurance arrangements for your specific shipping workflow.

Are trading cards and collectibles covered?

Product eligibility, limits, valuation, exclusions, and documentation requirements must be confirmed for the proposed program before coverage is bound.

Will packing video guarantee a claim payment?

No. Packing evidence may support review, but payment depends on eligibility, policy terms, the circumstances of the loss, and required documentation.

Can you review shipments from my own online store?

Yes, you can request an ecommerce shipping insurance review. Availability and implementation depend on your platform and applicable program terms.
