How much does InsureShip shipping insurance cost?
It depends on the program. For checkout shipping insurance, your shoppers choose coverage at checkout, and the price can be set by InsureShip or by you. For enterprise bulk shipment coverage, the rate is $1,000 per $50,000 of insured shipment value, which works out to $2.00 per $100 of declared value.
Is InsureShip free to add to my store?
Yes. There is no cost to add checkout shipping insurance to your store, and no long-term contract. Shoppers who want protection add it at checkout.
Can I set my own shipping insurance price?
Yes. Pricing is flexible: it can be set by InsureShip or by the merchant. Ask InsureShip which option fits your store.
What is enterprise bulk shipment coverage?
Enterprise bulk shipment coverage is for businesses that ship in volume and want to insure their own outbound shipments, rather than offering coverage to shoppers at checkout. The rate is $1,000 per $50,000 of insured shipment value.
How does the enterprise bulk rate work?
Premium is based on the total declared value you insure. Every $50,000 of insured shipment value costs $1,000, or $2.00 per $100. For example, $250,000 of insured shipments would be $5,000 in premium. Coverage is subject to the policy terms, limits and exclusions.
Do merchants get paid for offering InsureShip?
Your store’s traffic has value beyond product sales. InsureShip pays qualifying merchants for advertising space that connects shoppers with shipping insurance. Advertising rates depend on your store’s audience, placement and eligibility. Final rates are subject to review and agreement.
