ClickFunnels Shipping Insurance

InsureShip is integrated with ClickFunnels. Offer licensed shipping insurance as an opt-in order bump in Smart Checkout, labeled honestly and left unchecked.

Turn on InsureShip for ClickFunnels
Quick answer: Yes. InsureShip is integrated with ClickFunnels (integration built with our fulfillment partner RapidFulfillment). Contact us to turn it on for your store. ClickFunnels has no built-in shipping insurance of its own, so the offer usually appears as an unchecked order bump in Smart Checkout that the shopper ticks to add coverage.

Key takeaways

  • As of October 2026, ClickFunnels' help center shows no native shipping insurance feature.
  • Order bumps are ClickFunnels' own mechanism for an optional add-on, set in the Attached Products menu of the Smart Checkout element.
  • InsureShip is integrated with ClickFunnels (integration built with our fulfillment partner RapidFulfillment). Contact us to turn it on for your store.
  • ClickFunnels' webhooks (orders, subscriptions, invoices, fulfillments) carry the order and shipment data that covered orders depend on.
  • Keep the bump unchecked, call it "shipping insurance," and link the terms in the bump text.

Does ClickFunnels include shipping insurance?

No. ClickFunnels is a funnel builder with a checkout element called Smart Checkout, used by info-product and direct-to-consumer sellers. Its support articles cover order bumps, upsells and products, but we found nothing about insuring physical shipments.

That leaves two jobs: showing an optional insurance offer to the buyer, and getting covered orders to the insurer. ClickFunnels handles the first with an order bump. The second is handled by InsureShip's ClickFunnels integration, built with our fulfillment partner RapidFulfillment.

What ClickFunnels does

Displays the bump, collects payment, and fires webhooks when orders, invoices and fulfillments change.

What InsureShip does

Insures the shipment against loss, damage and theft, including porch piracy, up to $5,000, and handles the claim. Established in 2012, InsureShip is licensed in all 50 states and backed by Navigators (The Hartford), rated A+ by AM Best.

How do you add shipping insurance to ClickFunnels?

  1. Contact InsureShip. Tell us about your ClickFunnels store.
  2. We enable the integration for your store. The ClickFunnels integration was built with our fulfillment partner RapidFulfillment, so there is no API build on your side.
  3. Choose an opt-in checkout presentation. Pick how the offer appears in your ClickFunnels checkout. InsureShip recommends, and configures by default, an opt-in (unchecked) offer.
  4. Customers file claims at /pages/file-claim. InsureShip handles every claim.

Background: how order bumps work in ClickFunnels

This is how ClickFunnels presents an optional add-on, so you know what the bump step involves. ClickFunnels' order bump guide lists three prerequisites: an order page, a main product, and a bump product.

  1. A "Shipping insurance" bump product holds the coverage price. See pricing for how coverage is priced.
  2. Open the Smart Checkout element and choose Edit Products to reach the Attached Products menu.
  3. Mark the insurance product as an order bump. ClickFunnels' Smart Checkout bump settings describe this step.
  4. Rewrite the bump copy with Edit Text, which overrides the bump headline and content. Use plain words, the price, and a terms link.
  5. Covered orders reach InsureShip through the integration, using the order and fulfillment data ClickFunnels already records.
  6. Run a test order with and without the bump and confirm only the insured one reaches InsureShip.

Which ClickFunnels webhooks matter for insured orders?

ClickFunnels publishes its webhook event types. Background: these are the events that matter for insured orders:

Event Why it matters
order.created / order.completed Shows whether the insurance bump was purchased on the order.
fulfillment.created / fulfillment.updated Carries the shipment details that a claim later depends on.
one_time_order.refunded, orders/invoice.refunded Flags orders refunded before or after shipping, so your records stay clean.
subscription.activated, orders/invoice.paid Marks renewals, where you must decide whether coverage renews too.
subscription.canceled Stops future coverage charges with the subscription.

Funnels that sell subscriptions

If the bump sits on a subscription product, tell buyers whether insurance is charged once or on every shipment. Subscriptions are "negative option" plans under federal law. ROSCA requires sellers to "clearly and conspicuously disclose[] all material terms of the transaction before obtaining the consumer's billing information." A recurring insurance charge is a material term. This is general information, not legal advice.

How do claims work with InsureShip?

Claims don't run through ClickFunnels or your support inbox. The buyer or merchant files online at /pages/file-claim, and InsureShip reviews and handles it. Coverage applies to loss, damage and theft, including porch piracy, up to $5,000 per shipment. Having fulfillment data from the webhooks above on file makes the claim faster to check.

What makes a compliant order bump?

Order bumps are designed to be easy to accept. That's exactly why insurance bumps need care.

  • Unchecked by default. InsureShip recommends, and configures by default, an opt-in (unchecked) offer. ClickFunnels' help articles don't say whether a bump can start pre-selected. Either way, don't do it. Several class actions allege that pre-selected shipping protection toggles charged shoppers without consent. These are allegations, not rulings; follow them in our lawsuit tracker.
  • Say "insurance." A headline like "Add shipping insurance for $X" beats "VIP protection."
  • Link the terms right in the bump content.
  • Preview on a phone. Bumps stack near the pay button on mobile. Make sure the price and terms link aren't cut off.
  • Physical products only. Don't attach the bump to digital-only offers that never ship.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is InsureShip integrated with ClickFunnels?

Yes. InsureShip is integrated with ClickFunnels (integration built with our fulfillment partner RapidFulfillment). Contact us to turn it on for your store.

Where do I add the insurance offer in ClickFunnels?

In the Smart Checkout element. Use Edit Products to open Attached Products, mark the insurance product as an order bump, then use Edit Text to write clear bump copy.

Can the order bump be pre-checked?

ClickFunnels' help articles don't document that. InsureShip recommends, and configures by default, an opt-in (unchecked) offer. We recommend an unchecked bump regardless, because several class actions allege pre-selected shipping protection was charged without consent.

What happens with subscription funnels?

Decide whether insurance renews with each shipment, and disclose it next to the bump before payment. ClickFunnels' subscription and invoice webhooks help keep the records in sync.

Who handles a lost or stolen package claim?

InsureShip. Claims are filed online at /pages/file-claim, with coverage up to $5,000 per shipment for loss, damage and theft, including porch piracy.
